God gives us relationships in life so we may work with others instead of working alone. We long for deep connections and God took this desire and gave a way to fulfill that desire. In Genesis chapter 2 God sees that Adam is alone and says, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” This begins a pattern of relationships that continues to this day. We long for companionship and long for love. We in the deepest parts of our soul long for love. We are made in God’s image and John tells us that to know God we must love, for God is love. He has given us a window into himself through relationships. Relationships (with our spouses, our siblings, our friends, or anyone with whom we have a deep connection with) allow us to give of ourselves. It is by loving that we show the true beauty of God and fulfill one of our deepest needs as human beings. My challenge to you this week is at the same time the easiest thing- Go out and live love.
